If I Could (Single)
Here is a quick track by track review of this album:
If I Could: (9.5/10) Great song, but a bit on the slower side to open the EP up. However, the song is the title track of this album, and it is a great song, too! I love the overall feeling the song gives you. I don't know how to describe it, but it could be played in a sci-fi movie.
Thief: (9/10) One of the Echoing Green's best songs to date. The lyrics are extremely powerful, and the music fits perfectly with them.
Defender (The Nine Mix): (7/10) To be honest, I do skip this song usually. It's not a bad remix, but there is a much better one on the album. This one has more of a dance feel to the song. It's still a good song, though.
If I Could... (Wild Style Mix): (7.5/10) This remix is a hip hoppish take on If I Could... I think it's an interesting song to listen to. It's another one of those songs that I find myself skipping every once and awhile. I nice effort, though. This song would've fit well on The Echoing Green's selftitled cd.
Defender (Adamantiium Mix)- (8.5/10) This is without a doubt my favorite version of Defender. I like it better than the original, even. It has a cool technoish feel to it compared to the other versions of the song. It's another song I could see being played in a sci-fi movie.
If I Could... (I Think I Can I Think I Can Mix): (9.5/10) Man, it's a close call between this version or the original for the best song on the album. Everything about this remix just plays out well. I love the dance synths that play in the background. An awesome way to end the album.
Overall album rating: 8.5
I would recommend this album to Echoing Green fans. Those new to the Echoing Green should check a full length out before this, but this is still a great album.
