What is Aria?
Aria was intended to be The Echoing Green's 1992 debut album on Blonde Vinyl Records. However, Blonde Vinyl suffered a major problem with their distributor, and was forced out of business. Most of the songs were re-recorded and released on 1994's Defend Your Joy on MYX Records. Several tracks from Aria have appeared on later releases, such as Electronica ("Deep Inside Your Heart") and the Oceanaria v1.0 mp3.com release.

Where did the name "Echoing Green" come from?
People often think Joey B. probably got the name from a song called "The Echoing Green" by synth-pop group Cause and Effect.
However, he got the name from William Blake's 1789 poem "The Echoing Green", originally written in his Songs of Innocence
The first verse:
The sun does arise And make happy the skies; The merry bells ring To welcome the spring; The sky-lark and thrush, The birds of the bush, Sing louder around To the bell's chearful sound, While our sports shall be seen On the Echoing Green.

Who is Aaron Bowman?
Aaron co-founded The Echoing Green with Joey and left the band not long thereafter. He can be heard performing on early EG songs and is credited with the vocal arrangements on "Beautiful." Joey also considers him a brother, in a spiritual sense.
